Photocopy your theme park tickets and while you’re at it also photocopy passports and give copies to a relative in the UK just in case.

Allow 3-4 hours for a full experience. Open until midnight every day, so there’s plenty of time to include WonderWorks in your itinerary after the theme parks close for the evening.

Parking in the Universal Orlando car park costs $12 per day. For an extra $5 you can have a ‘preferred’ parking space, or go for the VIP treatment and valet park for $20 per day. But if you arrive after 6pm, the cost of parking is only $3, and night owls who show up after 10pm can park for free.

Parking and inner tube usage are included with admission at the Disney Water Parks.

Orlando International Airport is Orlando’s larger, primary airport, but be aware that some flights land at Orlando Sandford International Airport – the area’s secondary international airport, located further away from downtown Orlando and the main theme parks.

Or whilst Fantasmic! is showing, head to the more popular rides as queues will be shorter.

One waterslide all the family can do is Teamboat Springs. No capsizing on this ride!

On the more thrilling, faster paced attractions at the Disney Water Parks – like Humunga Kowabunga at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, or Summit Plummet at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park – we recommend wearing one-piece bathing costumes. Also bear in mind that you won’t be allowed to wear swimsuits with rivets, buckles or exposed metal.

Your Balloon ride will always be in the early morning- so you still have the whole day to enjoy the parks!
