Captain Cook Top Deck Lunch Cruise

A lunch cruise is the best way to combine million dollar harbour views with spectacular dining. Board the elegant MV Sydney 2000 or John Cadman 2 for a premium 3 or 3-course a la carte lunch on her exclusive Upper Deck.

Created for the locals, this cruise offers an exceptional cruising restaurant experience. The menu is premium a la carte and served on the upper restaurant deck of MV Sydney 2000 or John Cadman 2 with sensational views of Sydney.

The Top Deck Lunch is immensely popular with local groups looking for a more sophisticated experience than just a sightseeing cruise. There is no commentary to disrupt the flow of conversation and the menu is Contemporary Australian a la carte. Celebration cakes are despatched to every corner of the deck leaving a trail of sparkles in their wake.

If you choose the 2-Course option, you can choose your favourite two courses. A starter and main, a main and dessert, two entrees, or if you have a dentist in the family, two desserts. Additional desserts can be purchased onboard if anyone decides they would like a third course.

This is a wonderful way to enjoy Sydney Harbour, an unforgettable experience any time of year.

Sample Menu (subject to change)


  • Australian smoked salmon, shaved fennel, dill, capers with black caviar dressing (GF)
  • Ravioloni pasta, filled with spinach and ricotta, salsa napolitana with grana padano cheese (V)

Main Courses

  • Tasmanian grilled salmon fillet, accompanied by dutch carrots and asparagus, served with capers and lemon oil (GF)
  • Chicken kale, marinated chicken breast, kale stuffing with blended herbs and onion served with chicken jus
  • Australian southern highlands beef tenderloin fillet, sautéed mushrooms, served with seeded mustard jus
  • Warm vegetable timbale with kumera, quinoa, sun dried tomatoes, cranberries, chickpeas and pumpkin seeds served with infused lime and dijon mustard (V, GF)


  • Coconut mousse, smooth coconut cream mousse on sponge base topped with toasted coconut
  • Slow baked lemon and lime tart, soft citrus flavours served with a dollop of mascarpone cream

Cruise concludes at Circular Quay at 2:20pm or 3:45pm, or King Street Wharf at 1:45pm or 3:30pm. You may disembark at either location.
