- GUIDANCE ON THE SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES NOW INTRODUCED
We have received an important policy announcement from Walt Disney World, Florida that will affect all customers visiting Disney Florida in 2020. It is extremely important that this information is communicated to our mutual customers.
Disney Parks & Resorts have unveiled their plans for the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks on 11 July 2020. Guest access and park experience will be significantly altered. Theme park capacity will be limited, and guest density controlled in line with US Government guidance on physical distancing.
To help coordinate the new reduced capacity requirements, Disney have introduced the following changes and new processes:
1. RECONFIRM YOUR BOOKING BY 7th JUNE 2020 – OR IT WILL BE CANCELLED
- All 2020 Disney Theme Park Admission tickets must be processed in the Disney Ticketing system by 11 June 2020. After this date, Disney will not accept any bookings.
- You MUST therefore establish if your customers are still planning to visit Walt Disney World in 2020 and if they are – inform DSD no later than 7 June 2020
- On receipt of this confirmation, we will process the order and dispatch their 2020 Disney Tickets
- The balance due date will be brought forward on your booking, and payment will be due on your next invoice due date
- If we do not receive a confirmation that your customers are still intending to travel by 7th June 2020, your booking will be automatically cancelled on the 11th June – as there will be no means of processing ticket orders after that date
- All cancellations are processed at nil charges
2. NEW COMPULSORY THEME PARK RESERVATION SYSTEM
- Attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system which is accessible via the My Disney Experience desktop site
- To enter a Walt Disney World Theme Park, guests will need their theme park admission ticket PLUS a date-specific theme park reservation for every day they intend to visit a Disney park
- GUESTS CAN ONLY ACCESS THE NEW DISNEY THEME PARK RESERVATION SYSTEM, WHEN THEY ARE IN POSESSION OF THEIR TICKETS
- Guests MUST make a date-specific theme park reservation for each day they plan to visit the park
- Important: Without a date-specific theme park reservation confirmed, guests will NOT be able to access the Disney Parks, even with a valid ticket
- Once guests have linked their tickets on My Disney Experience, Disney will keep guests informed directly about when the new reservation system will open and show availability – estimated to be mid-June
IMPORTANT: Theme park reservations are subject to availability and guests with existing tickets are being prioritised. We highly recommend that customers access the system as soon as it goes live so that they can secure the availability on the days they would like.
