Walter Peak High Country Farm
Relive the nostalgia and elegance of days gone by on this scenic cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm where you will gain an insight into life on a typical 'Kiwi' high country farm.
Following the 40 minute outward voyage from Queenstown across Lake Wakatipu, disembark at Walter Peak High Country Farm to experience NZ farming life.
Wander through the beautiful lakeside gardens and enjoy a country-style morning tea at the Colonel's Homestead, surrounded by views of the lake and mountains.
Be taken on a walking tour of the farmyard to view sheep, red deer and Scottish Highland cattle, watch sheep shearing and see sheep dogs working stock.
Afterwards there is time to view a wool spinning demonstration before re-boarding the TSS Earnslaw for a return cruise to Queenstown.
Cruise concludes approximately 3.5 hours after commencement back at Steamer Wharf, Queenstown.

- You will receive a voucher for this experience. Please read it thoroughly.
- The TSS Earnslaw Steamship will be on annual maintenance from 21 May to 19 June and will not be operating over this time. The kitchen at Walter Peak is also closed for refurbishment.
- We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking around the farm. Please dress for the conditions of the day and bring sunglasses, sun block and a waterproof jacket with you.
- This tour is suitable for all ages and is a great family afternoon out.
