Papal Audience at Vatican City

Enjoy a scenic coach journey through Rome taking in some of her most famous sites before joining a Papal audience in St Peter’s Square. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and bookings are essential as you must have a confirmed reservation to attend.

As you journey towards Vatican City, enjoy views of some fantastic Roman sights including the Piazza della Republica with its Nayad Fountain, the Piazza Barberini, where you will see the Baroque Tritone Fountain, the ancient Aurelian Walls and the famous Villa Borghese gardens.

Travelling down the Via Veneto, pass through the Piazza del Popolo - the Northern entrance to Ancient Rome where you will glimpse an Egyptian obelisk dating back to the time of Ramses II. Also see the impressive Castel Sant'Angelo, the ancient tomb of Emperor Hadrian before arriving at St Peters Square.

The audience normally takes place in either St Peter's Square, but can also be staged at St Peter's Basilica or the Audience Hall, depending on seasonal conditions and the number of pilgrims visiting on each particular day. Your local guide will advise you when and where to meet the bus at the end of the audience.

After the visit you can decide to stay in Vatican city or get the transfer bus to main central points of the city (Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Piazza Venezia, Piazza della Repubblica and Termini Rail Station).
