Pacific Aviation Museum & USS Arizona Tour

Combine a trip to Pearl Harbour with Hawaii's newest attraction - The Pacific Aviation Museum where you can delve into the history of military flight and see classic and rare WWII American and Japanese airplanes. Also included is a visit to the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center and U.S.S. Arizona Memorial.

This extensive tour begins with a visit to the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center where, as well as browsing through informative displays and learning more about the events that took place here, you will view a film documenting the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbour before riding the Navy launch to the Arizona Memorial itself - built on top of the actual ship which was sunk in 1942.

Next, enjoy a visit to the Pacific Aviation Museum where you can experience the history of military flight in this interactive museum that presents classic American and Japanese airplanes, including a Japanese Zero fighter and its adversary, the Grumman F4F Wildcat.

View artifacts concerning the internment of Japanese Americans, historic footage of the Pearl Harbour attack and informative reenactments that allow you to experience the sights, sounds and exhilaration of the war.

The museum is located on Ford Island, the centre of the Pearl Harbour attack offers an exciting step into the past. Visit Hangar 79 where you will clearly see the scars of war; shrapnel marks on concrete walls and bullet holes on the hangar doors from the Japanese strafing runs.

As we return to Waikiki, drive through the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Also known as the Punchbowl, it lies in the middle of Puowaina Crater, an extinct volcano. Punchbowl was the site of many secret Alii (Royal) burials.
