Horse riding in the Chianti

Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside by horseback, passing through olive groves, vineyards and medieval villages.

There can't be many better ways of seeing the stunning Tuscan scenery and beautiful countryside than from horse-back!

You will be taken by air-conditioned minivan into the Chianti region, where some of the world’s most famous wines are produced, to a farm where your mount awaits.

After being paired with a horse and being given a short orientation lesson to get acquainted with your trusty steed, you will head out into the countryside on a gentle two hour ride through vineyards, olive trees and countryside.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to visit a fascinating family-run organic farm and winery. There, you will be given a guided tour of the cellar and learn about the unique processes involved in producing olive oil and Chianti wine. You will also have a chance to learn about the approach of this winery, that mixes modern techniques to the rediscovery of ancient gestures through a fully organic production. Explore their vineyards and take wonderful pictures there.

Once back at the farm, a delicious Tuscan meal will be served, made of Pecorino cheese, prosciutto, salami, bruschette, olive oil and, of course, a chance to sample some of the local vino.

A relaxed and scenic drive back to Florence will be the final chapter of this memorable day.
