Ho Chi Minh City Full Day Tour

With so much history and culture, Ho Chi Minh can be a daunting place to visit but this tour takes in most of the highlights with a minimum of fuss.

Bustling markets, iconic sights and fascinating museums abound on this full-day tour of Ho Chi Minh making for the perfect introduction to Vietnam’s largest city.

First up is the War Remnants Museum, where your guide will tell the story of the city’s darkest and most tragic hours during the Vietnam War. The museum contains displays of military aircraft, weaponry and many photographs – some that are quite graphic in nature.

Continue to the Thien Hau Temple, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess, before visiting Cholon, Vietnam’s largest Chinatown with roots dating back to 1778 and a place of great historical and cultural importance.

After recharging the batteries with a well-deserved traditional lunch at a local restaurant (drinks excluded), stop at Reunification Hall, the residence of President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975.

Here you will have the opportunity to view formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms and war situation rooms, some of which are buried 10m beneath the ground.

Other colonial structures included in the tour are Notre Dame Cathedral (unfortunately this is currently being renovated so you can only view from the outside), the General Post Office, and City Hall.
