Caves of Drach and East Majorca

A visit to Majorca would not be complete without a trip to the amazing Caves of Drach. This spectacular natural wonder is home to over 2km of caverns and one of the largest underground lakes in the world.

Discovered in 1896 by Eduard Martel, the Caves of Drach are one of the most popular attractions on the island of Majorca and a must-see on your holiday.

There two different tours, a half day and full day itinerery, to choose from:

Half Day Tour

Once onboard the air conditioned coach, you will drive through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast where the Caves of Drach are located and where you will live an experience to cherish.

The visit inside the Caves of Drach lasts approximately 80 minutes and you will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern gets bigger and more impressive as you progress.

Enjoy the remarkable spectacle of a classical music concert actually inside the Caves of Drach as well as the chance to cross Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat (included in the price but optional participation).

Post caves, there is a 30-minute stop at the world famous Majorica Pearls to purchase gifts before the half day tour heads back to your resort.

Full Day tour

On the full day tour, before you visit the famous Caves of Drach, you will make a 1-hour stop at the picturesque village of Sineu for a stroll around Mallorca's oldest market. There you will be able to see everything you can imagine being sold, from fruit and vegetables to live animals!

Next, head to Manacor for a 40 minute visit to the Majorca pearl factory where you will have the opportunity to see the rigourous pearl manufacturing process and learn the history of one of Majorca's most emblematic companies.

After a short photo stop at a 16th century defensive watchtower, head to the Caves of Drach for a visit as per the half day tour above.
