It was no surprise that The Lord of the Rings was filmed in New Zealand for the country is a natural motion picture studio full of fantastic special effects. And from temperate rain forest to sub-tropical bush, the flora are as exotic as the fauna.

It’s the dominion of the tandem skydive! Of course, you don’t have to go in for thrills and spills. You can voyage across the glorious Bay of Islands, explore the glow-worm-lit Waitomo Caves, trek through the stunning Abel Tasman National Park, experience the joys of Queenstown, or take a ferry ride across the Foveaux Strait to pristine Stewart Island, the “land of the glowing skies”.
