Situated 180 miles from San Francisco, Yosemite National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty, shaped by the power of glaciers. Although it is best known for its high cliffs and stunning waterfalls, you will also find deep valleys, grand meadows, beautiful forests and vast wilderness areas within its boundaries. Your day starts with an early morning departure from San Francisco and views of the sunrise from Bay Bridge as your coach journeys east on the four hour scenic drive to Yosemite. A refreshment stop will be made once you reach the Central Valley, the most productive agriculture valley in America. Following the beautiful Merced River to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, you'll enter Yosemite National Park. Glaciers cut through these mountains, forming the spectacular granite monuments you'll see throughout the park.

After making a couple of stops at Scenic Vista’s when you enter Yosemite National Park, you will be given 2-3 hours free time to explore this natural wonderland on your own - this can be done by hiking along the scenic walks, renting a bicycle or by riding the free Valley floor shuttle bus.  View sights such as Half Dome, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls and more. Refreshments can be purchased from Yosemite Village.

The return trip to San Francisco affords time to reflect, as you follow the sun west to its setting over the Pacific.
