Venture into the famous wonders of Xcaret. Located 55 kilometers south of Cancun, near Playa del Carmen, Xcaret Nature Park and archaeological zone has been an important ceremonial centre and Mayan port for over a millennium. Discover an abundance of fascinating and educational eco-attractions to marvel at. Amidst many natural beaches and warm crystal clear pools you can expect to find sea turtles, butterfly pavilions, an orchid garden, inlet lagoon, a botanical garden, a Mayan Village and much more. Swim in an underground rivers, tour archaeological sites, relax on white sand beaches and then finally enjoy a spectacular night time show.

Xcaret’s underground rivers are part of a large cave system that forms deep under the surface of the Yucatan peninsula. Snorkel in caves and swim along unique rock formations and marine fossils at Xcaret Park Mexico. The underground rivers at Xcaret are 5 feet deep and you only need a life vest to experience this mysterious underwater world. 

The Coral Reef Aquarium at Xcaret, the only one of its kind will transport you to the depths of the Caribbean Sea. See more than 500 corals surrounded by a rainbow of tropical fish, hard and soft coral, anemones, sponges, star fish and crustaceans. 

The Orchids Greenhouse in Xcaret is the ideal place for those who wish to enjoy the beauty of Mayan orchids, nature’s most evolved floral gift. At Xcaret’s Orchid Greenhouse you will have the opportunity to see 25 hybrid plants and 89 of the 105 orchid species endemic to this Mayan region. This wide variety of Mayan orchids will hypnotize you with its fantastic symphony of colors, textures, forms, shapes and scents.

Xcaret carries out a Marine Turtle Conservation Program in Riviera Maya that includes rescue, rehabilitation, marking and release operations. Come and visit the unique exhibition of Sea Turtles at Xcaret that allows you to get close to these fabulous creatures of the sea and learn more about the major problem that is affecting sea turtle populations.

The return to Cancun is after the night show (8:00 or 9:00pm) depending on the time of year.

XCARET PLUS TICKET:
The Xcaret Plus add on includes lunch and snorkelling equipment and can save you $20 to $30 per person. The buffet lunch alone costs $30. The Xcaret Plus Add on includes

Casual. Dress according to the weather for that day. It is recommended that you bring your swimming costume, sunscreen, sunhat, towel, towel and cash. Don't forget your camera!

Only biodegradable sun-block is permitted. It must be clearly marked as PABA Free, oil-Free, and biodegradable as to not harm the reefs. Biodegradable sunblock can be purchased at the park for about $15 US.

 

Child rates only apply for children ages 5-12 who are “under 55 inches tall” (1.4 meters).

Xcaret has 5 restaurants offering Mexican, seafood, international, variety buffet or fast food.
