It's unlikely that you'll be staying at the ultra-exclusive Burj Al Arab but you can still get a great view of the famous landmark from the Wild Wadi Water Park which is just next door.

Wild Wadi has a system of flow rivers and jets (‘Master Blasters’) that push you around the park on a rubber ring which means that you rarely have to get out and walk up stairs to the rides.  The water is chlorine free, the concrete is kept cool and you don’t need to carry cash since you can buy ‘credits’ for a wrist band that can then be used to buy anything within the park.  There are over 20 rides including the gravity-defying Jemeriah Sceirah which is definitely not for the faint-hearted!

Swim wear. You can rent towels at the park. Make sure you pack plenty of suncream!

Photography:

Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men.
