Avenue Q follows the story of bright-eyed college graduate, Princeton, who moves to New York with big dreams and a tiny bank account. It doesn’t take long for Princeton to discover that the only neighbourhood he can afford is Avenue Q, a run-down street where humans and puppets live side-by-side; still the neighbours seem nice. There’s Nicky the good-natured slacker and his Republican roommate, Rod who seems to be hiding some sort of secret. Kate, an extremely attractive teaching assistant; an internet addict called Trekkie Monster and lastly there’s Brian, an unemployed comedian and his therapist girlfriend Christmas Eve. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, partners, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
