The Wailua River is famous for its gorgeous scenery and history-rich past. After an easy downwind paddle along this jungle stream into the rainforest, tie your kayak to a tree and take a somewhat rugged and very beautiful one mile hike up valley to a dramatic 130' waterfall.  Here you can Cool off in the refreshing streams or relax on sun-warmed lava rocks as your guides explain the botanical and historical wonders of this jungle paradise.  Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and then hike back down to your   tandem open cockpit kayaks for some more fun paddling. You will pass through a spectacular and interesting valley by kayak and on foot, with your guide sharing his knowledge of the island giving you history on the ancient island of Kauai and the royal and common people and how they lived and played in years gone by.

Dress according to the weather for that day. A swimsuit, shorts, t shirt, windbreaker or light rain coat, and footwear with aggressive tread for muddy conditions (trainers, sport sandals with heelstraps or aqua socks are fine) are recommended. And don't forget your hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and a waterproof camera.

There is a minimum age requirment of 7 years on this tour.
