A great way to explore Venice and get your bearings, see all the highlights of this magical city from both land and water. Your day starts with a leisurely 2 hour Original Venice Walking Tour where you will learn about the amazing history and architecture of St Mark’s Square and hear the secrets of how a city built on swamps became one of the most important ports in the western world. Enjoy skip-the-line entrance to St Mark’s Basilica and also see the Doge's Palace and its adjoining prisons. Then head off down the narrow streets and discover hidden Venice – see Gothic Palaces, Marco Polo’s house and the Pantheon of Venice and also view the Rialto Bridge.
After your walking tour, you have around 3 hours free time to enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants, shop or sightsee, before joining your Grand Canal Boat Tour in the afternoon. Experience the wonderful architecture of Venice as you cruise along the Grand Canal – Venice’s most important ‘street’ and also explore the minor waterways dominated by towering Venetian Palaces. See beautiful canal side palaces, churches and other historic buildings and also learn about the city’s unique history and the famous and infamous characters that once lived on this celebrated waterway. Groups are limited to 8 persons, ensuring an intimate experience and you will also be served a glass or two of complimentary sparkling prosecco wine that nicely compliments the romance of the experience.

Casual. Dress according to the weather for that day. A comfortable pair of shoes is recommended and you must cover your shoulders and knees to enter St Mark’s Basilica. Large bags are not allowed inside the basilica.
The Basilica can sometimes close without notice due to high water levels or festivities.
During the winter when the city is a lot quieter, the tour does not use headphones as these are not required.
Unlike a ride in a gondola, the Grand Canal Boat Tour takes you to a much wider area of the city and provides a greater overview to Venice.
The boats are small enough to navigate the minor canals, with enough space for you to comfortably sit outside to take photographs and listen to the detailed commentary provided by your guide. All boats are equipped with microphones and speakers so you can clearly hear the commentary.
