Your tour of the Vatican starts with a fascinating coach tour through the streets of Rome. Highlights along the route include Piazza della Repubblica with its Fountain of the Naiad, the bath of Diocletian, Piazza Venezia, Largo Argentina, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the famous Castel St. Angelo. Upon arrival at the Vatican admire the beautiful architecture of St. Peter’s Basilica and St Peter’s Square before entering the Vatican Museums, taking the beautiful Spiral staircase. Here you will see the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps before arriving in the famous Sistine Chapel with its magnificent fresco of the Last Judgment by Michelangelo.  Afterwards head to magnificent St.Peter’s Basilica where you will find golden mosaics and several Tombs of Popes where lies the most important Statue of Michelangelo, ‘The Pietà.’
