After meeting your guide at your hotel, head to Chua Nghe Si Pagoda, a trendy resting place of the Vietnamese elite including singers, actors and actresses. Explore this fascinating sight and enjoy a traditional tea with one of the keepers who provide a fascinating insight on the local history.

Next stop is the local market in Tan Bin. Here, your guide will introduce you to the taste of lush fruits and vegetables of Vietnam. Photo opportunities abound with colourful stalls, exotic foods, fine silks and sparkling jewellery. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a well known restaurant, highly valued by the locals.

After lunch head to the Cu Chi tunnels. These amazing complexes of underground passages stretched over 250 kilometres during the Vietnam War and were the strong hold for the NLF (National front for the liberation of South Vietnam). The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens.

At the end of the tour there is the optional chance to take an hour long relaxation and massage session in a professional Vietnamese Spa (additional cost, payable locally)
