This is well worth doing. You get to see some great sights of New York with a great close up of the Statue of Liberty. We all know what a great city the " Big Apple " is and a helicopter ride will be the icing on the cake.

I would recommend a morning flight unless you have had a night on the sauce.

The take off is excellent and very exciting and you can also listen to the pilot talking to air traffic control.

We did the New York helicopter tour in December and thought it was really good value. My husband is scared of heights and so he was quite apprehensive but once we were up in the air the amazing views took his mind off his fear! It was great to see the city from above, especially Central Park and the Statue of Liberty.

This was my first time in a helicopter which in itself was an experience and have got to say that this is the way to see a city, especially NYC.

Bit of shaky start as after we all loaded up into the helicopter, it had to be shut down and "rebooted". Apparently this is something that needs to be done every now and again but the pilot seemed happy enough to go up in it after he'd ctrl-alt-deleted so we trusted him and what did we know about helicopter mechanics?

We flew passed all the must see sights down around the lady with the ice cream and back along the river, we actually had an extra pass as they were waiting to clear the landing pad which was a bit of a bonus.

Tip top trip

As we only had a few days in New York we did book before we left however when we were over there the weather was so bad that the helicopters couldn't take off however there was no problem I just called Do Something when we got back and they gave us a full refund without any trouble.We are going back to New York at Easter and taking our daughter and we will certainly be booking with them again and hope this time to make into the air.

Great tour. We chose the 1st flight of the morning to avoid any queues we had read about. We were on the helicopter in less than 15 minutes from arriving at the Downtown heliport!! $3 security fee to pay when you check in. Our helicopter was a six seater and although we arrived and checked in first, we didn't get the front seats (that's just luck if you get them). Sitting in the rear was fine though and both of us got great views and took lots of video and photos of the flight. Saw all the sights and the pilot pointed out many landmarks. Worth doing

This was our first time both in New York and in a helicopter. It was very exciting and got to see some excellent views. We did an morning flight and there were no queues. The pilot pointed out some landmarks but could of done with a few more pointing out. Excellent place to take photos and videos from.
