Your day starts with a visit to the oldest botanical garden in the southern hemisphere. Declared as a national treasure by the Mauritius Government, Pamplemousses Gardens is renowned to naturalists and is officially listed among the ten most beautiful botanical gardens in the world. Arguably the highlight of the tour, the garden boasts an amazing collection of native and exotic plants.  Among the many attractions are the enormous floating leaves of the Amazon Water Lilies, water lilies, Aldabra giant tortoises, an old baobab tree and famous Talipot plants that are said to bloom every 100 years.  

Afterwards, the tour continues to the island’s colourful capital, Port Louis to view its major sights and attractions. There is time to browse the shops at Miraj and Le Caudan Waterfront or you can choose the optional visit to the Blue Penny Museum.
