Enjoy a magical Grand Canyon helicopter flight at Sunset when the light is low and orange and casts a warm lazy glow over everything before it.

The stone of the grand canyon reflects a myriad of colours as the day goes on, but this is definitely the best time to see it; don’t forget your camera!

 

You will be collected by van from your hotel and taken to the airport for your memorable helicopter flight.  As you board the helicopter, your pilot will ensure that you are comfortable and briefly explain the two-way radio so that you can communicate along the way.  It’s then lift off as you head out over the first point of interest, the impressive Hoover Dam.  Built in the 1930’s over a period of 5 years, this incredible concrete structure was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1985.  It holds back the adjacent Lake Mead, the huge expanse of water allowing Las Vegas to grow faster than any other U.S city. 

  

The landscape below transforms from salt marshes to extinct volcanos as you journey towards the highlight of the tour, and soon you are descending into a stunning valley for a breathtaking final approach to the landing zone at the West Rim.  Once on the ground, you will be given a picnic tea and a champage toast and will have about 30 minutes to pose for photo’s and take in the stunning surrounds before you flight ascends the 4000 feet walls for your journey home.
