After an early morning departure from Sharm El Sheikh, head across the desert to Mount Sinai, where Moses is said to have received the Table of Law and the Ten Commandments from god. Here, you will find the fascinating St Catherine Monastery, the defining feature of the holy land. Said to be built on the site of the Burning Bush, the monastery dates from the 6th century and is still home to several monks. Your guide will escort you around this amazing site bringing to life the history and showing you the chapel, Mosaic Transfiguration, Burning Bush and a library of ancient manuscripts and icons, its importance second to only the Vatican itself.

Appropriate dress covering the shoulders and legs is recommended for entrance to the monastery. A sunhat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a bottle of water are also recommended. PLEASE NOTE: Price based on a minimum of two persons travelling.
