Your tour starts with a picturesque drive through the charming countryside and historic villages of the Clare Valley where you will stop at a local winery to sample the famed Riesling for which the area is renowned.  Continue north towards the Southern Flinders Ranges where you will have the chance to explore the historic town of Melrose, nestled in the foothills of Mount Remarkable. After lunch, head deeper into the Southern Flinders Ranges. Here you will pass through the eerie canyons and gorges lined with massive River Red Gum trees and home to an abundance of wildlife. At Warren Gorge, you will have the rare chance to see yellow-footed rock wallabies, plus kangaroos and emus, all animals native to Australia.

Continue along the Pichi Richi Pass, following the route of the historic Old Ghan Railway line to the top of the ranges where you can enjoy incredible panoramic views over the Spencer Gulf to Yorke Peninsula in the distance. Your return to Adelaide takes you past the sparkling waters of the Spencer Gulf on one side and the mighty ranges on the other.
