Journey along the verdant KwaZulu-Natal north coast through sugarcane fields into beautiful Zululand and the nKwalini Valley.  The largest Zulu kraal in Zululand proudly stands at the crest of a hill over looking the uMhlatusi River – birth place of Shaka, the legendary Zulu King. Built on the set of the film Shaka Zulu, today it is a living museum where you can learn all about the culture and traditions of Zulus and experience the Zulu way of life. Observe the skill and artistry that goes into building their huts, making pottery, brewing beer and crafting bead-work and baskets. During your visit make sure you sample the unusual beer, visit the isangoma (witchdoctor) and enjoy the grace and raw energy of the Zulu dancers. A delicious lunchtime feast is also enjoyed.
