My dad is totally obsessed with the America's Cup so when we went to Auckland on holiday recently he somehow managed to drag me along to sail the NZL 40 with him. Actually it may have been the NZL 41?

To be honest I wasn't really looking forward to this too much but the crew were so enthusiastic and once I was at the helm I was loving it! I would suggest that if you are going to sail the America's Cup boats then take your sunnies. It is quite bright out on the water, plus it makes it easier to perv at the crew!

I thought this was fantastic. The boats are beautiful and powerful. Helming was an awesome experience, and you get a great tour of the bay in the best possible style. You may get a little wet from spray but its worth it.
