Take-up the challenge of sailing an America’s Cup grand prix racer, an activity which is normally the realm of billionaire owners and the most elite professional yacht racers in the world. Head to Auckland Harbour and board either the NZ 40 or NZ 41, which both took part in the 1995 America’s Cup - the world’s oldest and most prestigious sporting trophy and the ultimate yachting event. The friendly, professional crew will take you through a short safety briefing and then the yacht heads out to sea, the sails are hoisted and the passengers become the crew. You are encouraged to take an active role and there is the unforgettable opportunity to take the helm. No previous sailing experience is required and the trip affords wonderful views of beautiful Auckland Harbour.
