More flexible than a standard city tour, the Rome open tour allows you to hop on and hop off at any of the stops around the city, giving you the freedom to explore, sightsee or shop before boarding the next bus to continue with your tour. This is a great way to get your bearings and discover different areas of the city. Your ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours and you can hop on and hop off the buses as many times as you like over this period. The buses run every 15 minutes so you never have long to wait for the next bus to come along and all the buses have an open top for unobstructed views.

• Termini Station - Piazza dei Cinquecento, Santa Maria Maggiore, Esquilino Quarter
• Santa Maria Maggiore – stop here for the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore 
• Piazza Venezia – stop here for Vittoriano Museum and Altare della Patria, Ara Coeli and Campidoglio (Capitol Hill), Roma Forum, Trevi Fountain, Via del Corso, Navona Square, Marcello Theater 
• Colossuem (stop closed on Sunday and holidays) – stop here for the Colosseum and the Roman Forum 
• Circus Maximus stop closed on Sunday and holidays – stop here for Circus Maximus, City Hall Rose Garden, Aventino Hill, Church S. Alessio, Church S. Sabina, Church S. Prisca 
• Isola Tiberina – stop here for connections with Battelli di Roma River Cruises
• San Pietro - Via della Conciliazione, Opposite Caff- San Pietro. Stop here for St Peter’s Bascila  and Vatican City
• Ponte Sant'angelo – stop here for S. Angelo Castle and connections with Battelli di Roma River Cruises
• Augusto Imperatore – Piazza Augusto Imperatore 
• Trevi- Stop here for the Trevi Fountain. Please note, this stop is suppressed on Saturdays (from 2.30pm), Sundays and Public holidays.

Rome Hop-on Hop-off Tour alters its route every Sunday and selected public holidays (Easter) due to traffic restrictions and road closures imposed by local traffic police. Stops affected frequently include COLOSSEO, CIRCO MASSIMO and TREVI. All attractions continue to open, however traffic will be restricted. Please note, it is easy to walk to any attractions from alternative Rome Open Top routes. All changes will be identified on the day of travel. Check with the hostess onboard for details.

Buses are wheelchair accessible on the lower deck, easiest being the Termini or Ludovisi stops.

Q: Do I need to detail a specific date for my tour?
A: No, we will issue you with an open-dated ticket voucher and you simply exchange your voucher with the driver on your chosen date.  

 

 Q: Is there a limit to the number of times I can get off and re-join the tour bus?
A: No, you can get off and on as often as you like for the duration of your ticket.
