Explore some of the most beautiful and natural highlights of Rhodes on this enjoyable 4x4 adventure. Jump aboard your Land Rover and head to beautiful Prassonissi on the southernmost tip of the island where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet. Here your driver/guide will take you on an exciting ride across the sand bar, followed by some free time to enjoy this natural wonder. Perhaps take some photos, enjoy a paddle or relax in beachside tavern. Back on board, continue on an exhilarating ride up the western coastline with the picturesque, smaller outlying islands, culminating in a visit to a deserted beach on Appollakia Bay. Here you can relax on the sand, swim or play ‘desert island’ style golf or volleyball. There is also a chance to enjoy some of the local food. Your “Olive pickers picnic” includes locally baked bread, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, fresh seasonal fruit and of course some ouzo!

 

 

After lunch, the tour heads further inland to the beautiful hamlet of Siana, to sample sweet local honey and if you dare - suma – the infamous firewater!! There will also be some time for you to browse the small craft shops for some holiday souvenirs. From here you continue on to the winemaking region where you will stop at a small, family owned winery in the village of Embona for a fun wine tasting session. You will get a chance to sample some of their best wines whilst finding out how the wine is produced. To help you feel the spirit and culture of the island, we also include a visit to a small countryside monastery and there will be fantastic photo opportunities as you travel inland and through the mountains: Diverse rugged scenery, wild growing herbs and flowers, pine forests and mountain tea.

Casual. Dress according to the weather for that day. Don’t forget your swimming costume, sun cream and spending money. A bottle of water and sunglasses are recommended.  

The Land Rover carries a maximum of 9 passengers. 

The tour picks up from central meeting points in the following resorts:

North Rhodes: Rhodes Town, Ixia, Trianda, Kremasti, Koskinou, Faliraki, Doreta Beach.

South Rhodes: Afandou, Kolimbia, Stegna/Haraki, Kalathos, Lindos, Pefkos /Lardos,
