You day starts with a drive by 4WD Land Rover along the dirt tracks into the Chalong Highlands where you will discover the Siam Safari Elephant Camp. Here there is the chance to learn about elephant conservation and the role of mahouts or carers. You will see the traditional training methods and there is also the memorable opportunity to touch and feed the young elephants. From here, climb onto the back of one of these mighty beasts for an exciting elephant trek through the Chalong Highlands with wonderful views of Chalong Bay and Phi Phi Island.

On completion of the trek, there is a chance to learn about some of the local crafts. See how monkeys are trained to pick coconuts and after watching them in action, see how the locals process the milk and oil. You will also see how rubber trees are ‘tapped’ to produce natural latex rubber and offered the chance to take a ride on an ox cart. One of the highlights of this tour is the opportunity to see how a traditional Thai curry is prepared and needless to say, you can try some if you dare!

For those that choose the cruise option, now comes the chance to board a traditional junk for a relaxing cruise along Chalong Bay with great views of Phuket and the surrounding islands.

The tour finishes with a delicious buffet lunch or dinner prepared with fresh ingredients and offering selection of delicious Thai dishes.
