This tour takes you on an interesting journey back to the Spice Trade era in Penang. Your journey begins with a visit to eighteenth century Fort Cornwallis built on the spot where Captain Francis Light first landed and the starting point of the spice trade started. Later proceed to the Western side of the island for wonderful views of hill slopes covered in nutmeg and clover trees and also visit the local fruit and spice stalls. The tour concludes at the beautiful Pengang Spice Garden where you can stroll among the plants that bore the wonderful spices. Take in the colours and smells as you wander along three undulating trails leading to different garden rooms including the Water Garden, Cycad Room, Banana/Heliconia Bank, Spice Terraces, and the Bamboo Garden. You can also visit the Spice Museum and there is the chance to take lunch in the Garden's Coffee Terrace at the end of the tour.
