It was our anniversary while we were out there and Trevor had booked this as a surprise he just called Do Something different and he gave them the date and when we got to Dubai he got the pick up time from our hotel when he reconfirmed. I was pleased that we hadn't had our meal because it was jsut like going on the Sheikra roller coaster ride at Busch Garden at Tampa Bay in Florida when we plunged but of course the driver knew what he was doing and in the end I was really enjoying myself. Then it didn't take long for the BBQ to be started and the smell was really great and the food matched up to it. It really was just like out of Lawrence of Arabia with being under the tents and sitting on cushions. It would have been good to have had a glass of wine but when in Rome comes to mind and so it was orange juice instead. There was such one thing that

There was just one thing I wasn't sure that I wanted to do and that was either to smoke a hubbly bubbly pipe or ride on a camel though Trevor did try the pipe but he wasn't too impressed. So instead we just sat around and watched a fantastic sunset and listerned to the Bedouin group talking about their lives in the desert. I was pleased it was only one night in a sleeping tent as it wasn't the most comfy one I have ever used and it was just as well no one snored.Trevor woke up with a bit of a back ache but soon forgot about it when he saw the breakfast which was really good.I must say it was really good value for just £57.00 for all that and we have some friends going out to Dubai in April and they have already booked this trip.

My husband and I loved this overnighter so much that we have already booked it for my parents later this year. Our driver was an absolute mad man but it just added to the fun once I was over the initial shock. Sitting out under the stars at the campsite was just amazing and a world away from the city of Dubai. Wish I could be there to see my parents belly dancing!
