Soar over the azure crater lakes and jagged mountains of Tongariro National Park World Heritage Site on this breathtaking scenic flight.

This scenic flight travels over the active volcanoes of Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe in the Tongariro National Park.  You will fly over stunning turquoise crater lakes and tarns, and travel over Mt Ngauruhoe, the mountain used to film Mt Doom in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. 

Highlights of the flight include views of Ketetahi Hot Springs, Blue Lake, Emerald Lakes, Red Crater, and Tama Lakes. You will also get the opportunity to survey the regions countryside - from sheep farmlands and tussock country to majestic Lake Taupo and see the route of the famous Tongariro Crossing from the comfort of your aeroplane seat.
