This tour is a great way to sample kayaking in some very gentle waters. You will paddle from the Picton shore and spend the day exploring and learning about the wildlife and history of this stunning area.

This tour is a great way to experience kayaking in gentle waters.  The Marlborough Sounds are made up of bays, islands, coves and waterways which were formed by the sea flooding its deep valleys after the ice ages. 

You will paddle from the Picton shore and spend the day exploring and learning more about the wildlife and history of the area.  You’ll stop for lunch at one of the golden beaches of the Grove Arm, a remote and stunning part of the Queen Charlotte Sound.  Then you’ll paddle on to Ngakuta Bay where a minibus will be waiting for you to drive you back to Picton.  This is a leisurely day’s paddling and suitable for any experience or fitness level.

You can take a medium sized bag with you in your kayak.

A swimming costume and towel are recomended.

This tour is suitable for any experience and fitness level but not for children under 16
