Overview
This fascinating boat cruise explores the Santubong and Salak River Delta systems as they meet the South China Sea. This is home to a vast array of wildlife, in particular the complex ecosystem of the mangrove swamp. Small reptiles, mudskippers, crabs, shellfish and occasional mammals such as monkeys and loris can all be seen in this area which is also an important feeding ground for a rich array of bird life. Learn about the different types of mangrove and how these uniquely adapted trees colonise the shoreline and develop a complex, symbiotic ecosystem.
