Mahmaya-Giftun Island Snorkelling Trip
Enjoy a lazy day in the sun as you cross the Red Sea to a tropical sand island surrounded by coral reefs and crystal clear water, teeming with an abundance of marine life.
<p><span>You cannot visit Hurghada without taking the trip to Giftun Island. This idyllic sand island is surrounded by a beautiful coral reefs and exotic marine life. Here, you can soak up the glorious Egyptian sunshine on one of Egypt's best beaches or swim in the crystal clear waters. The reef is home to vibrant corals, a seemingly infinite number of brightly colourful tropical fish. Snorkelling is the best way to see the reef and all the necessary equipment is provided free of charge. You will also have the the chance to sail to other nearby coral islands where you can snorkel and swim. </span></p><p><span>The sailing time to Giftun Island is approximately 45 minutes and you will stay at the island until around 11:30am. Returning to the boats, you will sail between the three islands and stop for around one hour of snorkelling before returning to Giftun Island at around 1.00pm for lunch at one of the restaurants, then you have free time to further explore the island before returning to the boat at 3.30pm.<br /></span></p>
