Overview
To begin this tour, you will be driven to the heart of the city, Rossio where you will visit the most beautiful and oldest quarter of the city, Alfama. Here you will be able to taste some fantastic wines in a quaint handicraft store. Then you will drive to the Black Horse Square, home to the beautiful showrooms of Vini Portugal, before crossing the bridge over the Tagus to see one of the most famous sights in Lisbon, Monument to the Discoveries and the Belem Tower. Next is a visit to an UNESCO World Heritage site, Jeronimos Monastery and the coach museum. At this museum you will see the world’s largest collection of rich coaches which were built for the aristocracy dating all the way back to the 17 century. Both of these attractions are closed on Mondays, but they will be replaced by the Ajuda Palace or the “Fundacao Medeiros e Almeida”. From here you will be taken to the sophisticated Estoril, the vivid Bay of Cascais, also home to the striking cliff, Boca do Inferno Guincho. During the 1st April to the 31st October, you will be able to stop at the western most point of Europe, Cabo da Roca. Your final stop on this tour will be the Vila Palace, the best preserved medieval Royal Palace in Portugal, next to the beautiful Sintra Mountain.
