The tour kicks off with a downwind kayak trip on a pretty jungle stream. After an easy two mile paddle, you will tie up the kayaks and take a short stroll through the lush rainforest to a picturesque area bequeathed by waterfalls and swimming holes. Hitch a ride with a 4WD tractor across a working cattle ranch to the start of the Kamapua’a Falls trek and then hike on till you reach a Swiss Family Robinson-style tree house, built around one of the huge Banyan trees. At this point you’ll have a chance to get your energy levels back up as the tour breaks for lunch overlooking the beautiful 120’ bridal veil Kamapua’a Falls.
Ready to go again? Dust off your Indiana Jones hat and take an exhilarating wild ride on a 275’ zipline over a waterfall and river, returning on foot via an 80’ suspension bridge. A further trek though the exotic foliage takes you to Kipu Falls where the fun really starts. Jump from black lava rock cliffs into swimming holes below and test your Tarzan antics to the full swinging on ropes high above mountain pools. If you don’t fancy beating your chest, you can just slip into the pools for a refreshing swim or relax in the tranquil beauty of the surrounds.
A short ride and a brief walk later and you will arrive at the river landing where you will be able to put your feet up aboard a motorized canoe for a delightful river cruise home, a fun ending to a thoroughly entertaining day.
