From Adelaide you will travel south through rolling hills, following the Fleurieu Peninsula coastline to Cape Jervis. Here you board your large comfortable catamaran for the 45 minute voyage 13 kilometres off the South Australia coast to Kangaroo Island. Once on land your coach tour commences, taking you to the start of your guided walk along the beach amongst the rare and endangered sea lion colony that resides at Seal Bay.
After having lunch then taking a stroll to visit local koalas you will head to Flinders Chase National Park, one of South Australia's most significant national parks. Kangaroo Island's geographical isolation means that it is free from predators such as dingoes, rabbits and foxes, thus the native wildlife on the island is thriving. As a result you are likely to see many of the islands inhabitants in the national park, including kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies and koalas; if you are lucky you may even see a platypus!
A highlight of your time on Kangaroo Island will undoubtedly be at the end of your day with a visit to the southern tip of the island to view the amazing formations at Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.
Return to the airport for a short flight to Adelaide and transfer to your hotel.
