Your chance to experience the high thrills and excitement of extreme flying as you loop, roll and stall turn in a high-performance aerobatic aircraft.
Imagine the sheer exhilaration of performing your own aerobatic sequence in a leading high-performance plane. Under the supervision of a CAA qualified instructor, your introduction to aerobatics will give you the opportunity to take over the controls and learn some of the basic maneuvers or you can opt to sit back and simply enjoy all the thrills as your pilot puts the plane through its paces.
No previous flight experience is required and you can choose from two leading aerobatic aircraft – the de Havilland Chipmunk or Slingsby Firefly. Both planes are used as military trainers and are capable of extreme maneuvers including loops, wingovers, barrel rolls, cuban 8's and stall turns.

On the day of your flight, you will receive a full briefing before take off enabling you to discuss any specific requirements you have. From this your pilot can tailor the flight to your exact needs. Once airborne, your instructor will demonstrate a full aerobatics sequence for you to watch, learn and enjoy. If desired, your instructor will then invite you to handle the controls of the aircraft so you can experience the thrill of proper aerobatic flying.
Health Requirements: You must be agile and at least be cabable of getting in-and-out of a family car unassisted. This experience may not be suitable for persons who are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, or heart conditions. For their own safety diabetics may be required to produce a medical certificate. If in doubt please consult your doctor and/or contact us.
Please note, there is a maximum weight restriction of 18 stone and height restriction of 6ft 4. There is also a minimum height restriction of 4ft 5.
Q: Do I need to book a specific date for my Introduction to Aerobatics flight?
A: Advance reservations are required, but you do not have to name a date at the time of booking. DoSomethingDifferent.com will issue you with an open-dated ticket voucher, allowing you to book the time, date and location at a later date once you have finalised your plans.
Q: Can I bring some friends/family with me to watch the experience?
A: Guests are more than welcome at no extra charge.
