You will travel to Thingvellir National Park which marks the place where the European and North American tectonic plates meet, meaning that you will be swimming in between two continents. Lake Silfra is actually a crack/fissure in the earth’s surface and the water comes up through the lava crust after travelling underground from Iceland’s glaciers. Swimming is seemingly effortless as you are pushed along by a mild current, and you will be accompanied by expert PADI qualified instructors that will point out underwater sights of significance. Even if you haven’t snorkeled before the basics are straightforward and easy to learn, meaning that this is an unforgettable experience that is within the reach of almost everyone.

Swimming costume and towel, all other necessary equipment is provided. It is recommended that you wear a layer of clothing underneath your wetsuit and bring warm clothes to change into.
