Ever seen the movie ‘Top Gun’? Now is your chance to star in your own Top Gun documentary film as you live the dream and experience the thrill of flying your own jet fighter. Plus, you can choose exactly how you would like the movie to pan out. Choose to fly low across the Pacific Ocean or perhaps make low passes through California’s canyons; roll, loop or fly inverted!

All cameras will be on you as you prepare for your incredible flight in the hanger and then strap yourself into the cockpit and as the jet engine roars into life, feel the G-forces pin you firmly into the back of your seat and experience the ultimate adrenalin rush as you take off and climb to high altitude. Every powerful high-g turn, 360° barrel roll and tail slide will bring a renewed surge of adrenaline and excitement and you can witness breathtaking views of Hollywood and the Los Angeles basin seen by very few.  You don’t have to be a pilot to fly this legendary aircraft. The only requirements are that you are in reasonable health and a have a spirit for adventure.

Your whole Top Gun adventure will be captured on film and the fantastic local production team will help create a personal movie to remember. You can either choose to edit the footage yourself or for an additional $350 (payable locally) you can have the video professionally edited into a short movie, complete with soundtrack. And who knows, this could be the launch pad to a new career in the movies!

Casual. Dress according to the weather for that day. All flight clothing will be provided. Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Q: Do I need to be a pilot or have prior jet flying experience?
A: No. We’ll send you up with an expert L-39 pilot.

Q: Do I get to fly the aircraft?
A: The L-39 is a jet trainer and was designed so it could easily be flown by student fighter pilots. The pilot in command can actually have his hands on the controls at the same time you do, helping to guide you through maneuvers. On camera, it will appear like you are flying the jet.

Q: How long will all this take?
A: The flight itself will last about 45 minutes, but the whole experience will take around four to five hours to complete. Your day starts with an extensive briefing session where you’ll learn about the L-39 and it’s capabilities and safety systems. You’ll also hear how the L-39 has been used in making movies. After the flight, you’ll want time to celebrate with your pilot and film production team.

Q: What physical requirements are there?
A: You must have no known heart problems or medical conditions which may be aggravated by g-forces. There is a height restriction of 6’6” and a weight restriction of 250 pounds.

Q: What happens if the weather prevents me from taking my flight?
A: Although this is rare, inclement weather can sometimes prevent flights from taking off. If you can’t fly due to weather, there is no refund but flights will be rescheduled for another day.
