My boyfriend arranged this without me knowing anything about it which is most unlike him.Allo he said to me was that we would be having a very early start and it was we had to get up before 3am however it was really worth it.The Haleakala volcano was certainly a perfect backdrop to watch the sunrise and we were really lucky there was a few clouds in the sky but they only added to the colours.The displays over the park trails and craters made it look like I would expect the moon to look like.At this point my boyfriend asked my to marry him which seemed to just make the day perfect.However it was a bit chilly so the hot coffee went down a treat.After all that it was time to start back and we went through what the locals call upcountry Maui and it really is amazing how in such a barren area this beautiful flowers can survive.The only downside was that my other half was complaining that he was hungry as it was 7 hours and all he had was Danish pastries.But all in all it was really worthwhile and I would recommend it to anyone.
