The route to the Grand Canyon takes you past Lake Mead and over the manmade Hoover Dam. Here your guide will stop to give you the chance to take photographs and admire the views. Leaving Hoover Dam you’ll head towards the Grand Canyon, passing through a small Arizona town of Kingman. The first major stop will be Mather Point, the deepest part of the Grand Canyon, followed by a visit to Bright Angel Lodge, where there are many great views. At the lodge you’ll have the opportunity to get yourself something to eat, buy souvenirs, and take some spectacular photographs.

After absorbing the vistas your guide will take you to the Grand Canyon airport, where you’ll board a small plane and fly over the Grand Canyon to Bryce. Many who have seen both Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon find Bryce far more fascinating, however Bryce isn’t actually a canyon, but a large amphitheatre carved out of a variety of rock types. You’ll marvel at the irregular shaped hoodoos in an amazing array of colourful hues and tour all three of the main view points; Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point. Each point is more spectacular than the next and time has been allocated for you to leave the bus, walk around and experience the magic. Before leaving Bryce you’ll take a short souvenir stop at the Visitor Centre.

Your guide will take a particularly scenic Utah back road following the Sevier River and the Virgin River towards Zion National Park. Zion is the creation of rock and water, with plenty of both to be seen. The relatively soft and porous Navajo Sandstone’s interaction with the water has created a myriad of amazing shapes and patterns.

You’ll enter Zion at the east entrance and take in the striking rock formations. You will see trees growing in the rocks and massive sand dunes cemented into rock over the millennia. After travelling through an amazing tunnel blasted into the Navajo sandstone almost a century ago, you’ll descend down a precipitous switchback road to discover the Great Arch of Zion.

From Zion you’ll begin to make your way back to Las Vegas. The route takes you through the small southern Utah town of St. George and alongside the picturesque Virgin River Gorge. You’ll pass through Mesquite, a casino town on the Arizona Nevada border, before travelling across the desert and back to the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Have water with you at all times. Sunglasses and hats will help to make your trip more comfortable and contact lens wearers should consider wearing glasses instead, as the climate might cause lenses to dry out. Dress casually and be sure to wear sensible walking shoes. Don’t forget your camera.

The vehicles used are mini buses or vans with 9-13 seats individual, high back, reclining seats.

The size of the plane will vary according to how many people are on each tour. Generally either a six or nine passenger plane will be used, on very rare occasions a four passenger or 19 - 22 passenger plane.
