Situated about thirty miles north-east of Adelaide, the world-renowned Barossa Valley is Australia’s premier wine-growing region, home to household labels such as Wolf Blass Wines and Jacobs Creek.  A wonderful blend of pretty Bavarian Villages, Italianate Chateaux and enchanting scenery, the area retains a distinctly European flavour and offers a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle of Adelaide. 

After winding through the spectacular Torrens Gorge, the first stop of the day is at the Lyndoch Bakery for morning tea and an authentic streusel pastry, a fantastic Barossa treat.  From here, continue to the famed Wolf Blass Winery, where you can taste your first wines of the day and learn about the processes and techniques involved in wine-making.  Take in the wonderful panoramic views of the valley at Menglers Hill lookout before continuing to Kaesler Winery, where you can sample more award-winning Australian wines and enjoy a sumptuous lunch at Kaesler's Winery Restaurant. 

The afternoon is spent relaxing as you leisurely wind your way through the picturesque Adelaide Hills, past vineyards and quaint villages. Enjoy a short respite in the Bavarian town of Hahndorf, before returning to Adelaide. This tour is the perfect way to experience Adelaide’s beautiful surrounds, sample the delights of the Barossa, bottle them up and take them home with you!
