This afternoon tour takes you to some of Florence's masterpieces including the Fiesole Hills, Basilica of Santa Croce (where Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and many other famous people are buried) and the world famous Uffizi Gallery.

Your tour starts with a short drive to Fiesole, a lovely town founded by the Etruscans on the hills overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley. Enjoy spectacular views, framed by the cypresses and olive groves covering the hill slopes.

After driving back into Florence, we get out near the river Arno and continue on foot through the medieval streets, to the east of the old city centre, as we walk past the Franciscan Basilica of Santa Croce (where Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and many other famous people are buried) on our way to the spectacular Piazza della Signoria, where we admire the imposing Palazzo della Signoria or Palazzo Vecchio and the harmonious Loggia della Signoria, as well as the many statues by Cellini, Giambolognaand Ammannati adorning the square.

The tour continues with a guided tour of the famous Uffizi Gallery where we can follow the development of Christian painting, admiring superb works by Cimabue, Giotto,Masaccio, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian. The guided tour ends inside the museum, offering you the chance to continue exploring on your own.
