The historic barquentine-rigged Empire State Clipper is an exact reconstruction of the City Clipper ships that sailed the coastal lumber trade in the US during the late 1800s. Enjoy stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge as you get underway and then pass close to the Statue of Liberty under the awesome power of the wind. Sweeping views also include Ellis Island, the Manhattan Skyline, the fortifications of Governors Island and Battery Park at the mouth of the Hudson River. Depending on the winds and tides, the captain may sail up the Buttermilk Channel or out to the Verrazzano Bridge spanning the ocean entrance to New York Harbour.
