This was out first time in Dubai and a friend of ours that had been last year told us to get these tickets. The first day we took a bus around 3pm and just stayed on the bus to get our bearings and we then could decide which places we would want to take a closer look at.It was quite warm on the bus so we always went up top and were able to get a little breeze however then we couldn't hear the commentary very well.It really value for money as we also got a cruise along the Dubai creek. We had a hectic time but managed to do everything and the house of Sheikh Maktoum is out of this world. We all enjoyed going round the Dubai museum. We decided to go on the tour that includes the beaches so we did have a little rest until it was time to get back on the bus.It didn't seem to matter which bus we got on the guides all were friendly and very keen to tell us all about Dubai and it's rich history. It was such a shame that we didn't go after April because we were told that there is a guided tour around the gold and spice souks,so maybe that is for another time.It really is good value and worthwhile getting this ticket especially if it is your first time in Dubai

We decided to take this tour to get to know the city lay out as we've done similar tours in Barcelona and Rome which were great. Since the ticket lasts 24hrs instead of a calendar day we started it in the afternoon so we could get up early the next day and go back to places that we especially liked. We didn't do the cruise as we thought it was a bit of a waste of an hour with so much to see. I did think there could have been more buses as they only come every hour or so but it made us plan our stops and we managed to fit nearly everything in.

The first thing I will say is that you need to know that all the buses are not air-conditioned and it was a shock to us when we got out there, as the temperature in the bus was hotter in the bus than outside and it was nearly 47 degrees outside! So we baked in the bus, which almost ruined everyone's happy moods. This was the only downside to the bus tour, otherwise it was very good, especially for a first-timer to Dubai and gives you good insight into this truly beautiful city. I would like to see the bus company start evening tours as this would great to see the city illuminated at night and would ease the problem of no air-con in the buses.

Hi All.
We had a 2 night stop over last week. On the 15/6/2008 we woundered what to do, a guy in the hotel told us try the BIG BUS tour. WOW. The black guy who sold us the tickts was a marvel (thanks). It was fantastic. You get to see all the special interesting sights within Dubai. Also if any one has been to Barcelona and done the open Bus tours, then this has the same system of getting on and off. I would deffinitely recomend this Big Bus tour to all visitors.
