Your day starts with a scenic drive to Santiago, where you visit a renowned cigar factory before continuing the drive to Jarabacoa, a mountain city in the heart of the island. Here you have some free time to explore this lovely mountain retreat where long deep valleys carpeted in forests of palm trees cascade down from the mountaintops, while deep canyons cut a random swath through the rugged landscape. Afterwards, jump into a 4-wheel-drive jeep for an exciting journey to the towering Jimenoa waterfall. Take a cooling dip in the large plunge pool before returning to a mountain ranch for a delicious Dominican buffet lunch. A leisurely afternoon drive through the breathtaking scenery brings you to a local ceramic factory where you can hunt for a bargain.

Dress light and wear comfortable footwear. A sun hat, sun glasses, sun screen and a bottle of water are recommended and don’t forget your swimming costume if you wish to take a swim.

This tour includes a 20 minute hike over uneven ground including 2 wooden bridges therefore, moderate fitness is required.

This experience requires a minimum age of 5 years.
