Among the many highlights at Discovery Cove is the exhilaration of swimming and playing with bottle-nosed dolphins in their delightfully serene tropical lagoon away from the crowds and queues.  Witness the power and grace of these special animals and learn about their behaviors on an hour long interactive session. At the spectacular coral reef, snorkel through schools of colourful tropical fish and feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as you come within inches of dangerous predators such as barracuda and sharks – but don’t worry, they are safely housed behind clear partitions! For a more relaxing experience, head to the tranquil Ray Lagoon where you snorkel, wade and play with hundreds of wonderfully gentle southern and cownose rays or explore the tropical river as it winds lazily past sandy beaches, rocky lagoons through a tropical rainforest and an underwater cave. Your Discovery Cove ticket also includes entrance to a towering free flight aviary where you can touch and feed a multitude of brilliant exotic birds, plus you will receive breakfast and lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day.  

There is the choice of two tickets - those wishing to swim with Dolphins must purchase the Dolphin Swim Ticket. If you just want to accompany friends and family who are swimming with dolphins, purchase the Non-Dolphin Swim Ticket. This includes all the same elements except the Dolphin Interaction Session.

Choice of Adventure ticket also includes a 14-day ticket to either Aquatica OR SeaWorld OR Busch Gardens. This ticket is valid for 14 consecutive days either side of your Dolphin Swim and is activated the first time you visit either Aquatica or SeaWorld or Busch Gardens.

• Transport to Discovery Cove

Casual. All equipment for the Dolphin Swim is provided by Discovery Cove…just don’t forget your swimming costume!

At least one person in the party must be purchasing the Swim With Dolphins package.

Children must be aged 6 or over to take part in the dolphin swim. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult guest within the park. Children aged 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult guest through the check-in process.

Children between 6-12 years old participating in the dolphin swim experience must be accompanied by an adult who also is participating in the dolphin swim experience. There is no minimum adult to child ration, so one adult can accompany more than one child.

Discovery Cove attendance is limited to 1,000 guests a day, so all bookings require a reservation and it is recommended that book well in advance to avoid disappointment! The Dolphin Swim consists of a 30 minute introduction with the trainers followed by a 30 minute group session with the Dolphins.

You do not need to be an experienced swimmer to swim with Dolphins. Life Jackets are provided and you do not need to go out of your depth should you not wish to do so.

DoSomethingDifferent will send you a Discovery Cove printed Confirmation Voucher for this product.  Therefore you will receive a confirmation of purchase by email, followed by the printed Confirmation Voucher, no later than 3-4 weeks prior to your booked experience date.   

All bookings for Discovery Cove are subject to 100% cancellation fees once booked and confirmed.  There can be no refunds for amendments (for example to change from Swim to Non Swim) or cancellations unless there has been an error by us.
