Although Chiang Mai has long been a favourite destination for foreign tourists visiting northern Thailand, the city still conceals quite a few secret sites capable of dazzling those travellers willing to seek them out. One of these hidden gems are the sprawling remains of Wiang Kum Kam, an ancient capital city that until recently had remained hidden under layers of layers of earth.

After a short drive to this intriguing archaeological site, jump onto a bicycle to explore the 20 ancient temple ruins used by King Mengrai and his court. These include Wat Phraya Meng Rai, Wat Kan Thom, and Koo Paa Dom. Afterwards, the tour continues to Wat Chiang Mun, the first temple built in Chiang Mai, the Three Kings Monument and the Chiang Mai Art and Culture Hall which chronicles the history of Chiang Mai.
